Our Commitment to Safety
Safety is the utmost priority at Bailey Coach. Over the years, safety measures have improved considerably in many ways. We’ve made sure that we have made our inputs to safety in the best possible manner.
Traveling by coach bus is America’s safest method of highway transportation. Respected highway safety agencies of the Federal Government, as well as private highway safety advocates, have recognized the value of the coach buse’s passenger-protecting construction, and of having a well-trained professional driver at the wheel.
As true as that is, however, the SAFE operation of a coach bus isn’t universal. A coach bus company’s good highway safety record is the result of hard work, diligence and a willingness to pay constant attention to details. Bailey’s coach buses undergo constant careful inspections…and are always maintained to the industry’s highest standards. Bailey drivers must successfully complete a training course, written and hands on. Once drivers have earned their way into our professional team of coach bus operators, their performance is constantly reviewed…and training is always a continuous process.
Bailey Coach prides itself on making sure that all drivers are thoroughly trained and road tested before performing any safety-sensitive duties. All drivers must possess and maintain a clean criminal background & motor vehicle driving record.
Our Safety Inspection Results
Every coach company is issued a U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) identification number, and that number is stenciled on the side of all commercial trucks, school buses & coach buses.
Every company’s safety, insurance and compliance records can be checked by going to the website, www.safersys.org, and entering the company’s USDOT number. Bailey Coach’s is 975481.
Bailey Coach is also certified to transport US Military forces. This certification was earned by virtue of the most rigorous inspection program in the industry.
Times have changed and security has become a huge issue for all travelers! Coach bus travel, with it’s ability to provide “door-to-door” service, is also changing to provide for the new security needs of it’s guests. Bailey’s home service area of South Central PA, for example, has unique traffic patterns and access points for travelers, and these change from day to day. Bailey monitors these changes daily to avoid delays and deliver our guests to their destinations as safely and timely as possible.
Bailey Coach has played an active role in the development and training requirements of our industry. We work with federal, state, local and even international law enforcement and protective agencies to develop motorcoach specific security plans and training programs which are now being used nationwide.
