Our Story
1933
Glenn Bailey begins arranging train tours to the Chicago World’s Fair, laying the groundwork for Bailey Travel Service.
1949
Bailey Travel is officially founded by Glenn and Fred Bailey
1970s
John Bailey takes over Bailey Travel from his dad (Fred Bailey) and uncle (Glenn Bailey)
1998
Bailey Coach is founded by John Bailey and Rodney Sechrist with two European Style Motorcoach Buses and a vision to deliver a higher standard in the motorcoach bus market
2002
Bailey Coach acquires Tarbert’s Airport Transportation to provide on-demand airport service to the region’s airports
2005
Bailey Coach purchased Hegins Valley Lines Coach, bringing three more luxurious coach buses to the Bailey line
2010
Bailey Travel Service merges with Lancaster-based Travel Time Travel and purchases York-based Travel Leaders
2011
Bailey Coach acquired the charter bus division of Red Lion Bus Company
2015
Bailey Coach expanded their fleet by purchasing three buses from Lincoln Bus Lines. One of which was handicap accessible, giving them the ability to accommodate anyone.
2019
Rodney Sechrist Retires from Bailey Coach and John Bailey takes over as sole owner and operator of the company with the intention of mentoring his daughter Courtney Bailey Piccolo to become President and CEO of the company
2020
COVID-19 brought the transportation industry to a halt. Bailey Coach pivoted to open Bailey’s Zero Hazard while also welcoming Kristy Fasano to their team as COO.

Courtney Bailey Piccolo and Kristy Fasano acquired 51% ownership of Bailey Coach.
This marks a significant milestone in our journey as we celebrate our transition to a majority women-owned business under the leadership of Courtney and Kristy
2024
A new chapter begins for the Bailey Family of Companies as we open Bailey Self Storage, a 59,000-square-foot state-of-the-art storage facility in Spring Grove, PA

Courtney Bailey Piccolo - President & CEO
- Joined the family business in 2012 after a successful sales career at The Hershey Company
- Alumni of Bloomsburg University
- Currently serves as President of the Rotary Club of York
Kristy Fasano - Vice President & COO
- Joined the Bailey Family of Companies in 2020
- Graduate of Mercersburg Academy, the Pennsylvania State University, and Wilson College
John Bailey- Chairman
- Started Bailey Coach in 1998
- Currently, John is semi-retired and spends his time with his wife in Florida, playing pickleball, and enjoying his 3 grandchildren
