Our Story

1933

Glenn Bailey begins arranging train tours to the Chicago World’s Fair, laying the groundwork for Bailey Travel Service.

1949

Bailey Travel is officially founded by Glenn and Fred Bailey

1970s

John Bailey takes over Bailey Travel from his dad (Fred Bailey) and uncle (Glenn Bailey)

1998

Bailey Coach is founded by John Bailey and Rodney Sechrist with two European Style Motorcoach Buses and a vision to deliver a higher standard in the motorcoach bus market

2002

Bailey Coach acquires Tarbert’s Airport Transportation to provide on-demand airport service to the region’s airports

2005

Purchased Hegins Valley Lines Coach, bringing three more luxurious coach buses to the Bailey line

2010

Bailey Travel Service merges with Lancaster-based Travel Time Travel and purchases York-based Travel Leaders

Meet Our Leaders

Courtney Bailey Piccolo – President & CEO

Courtney brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of driving growth and innovation. Joining the family business in 2012, after a successful sales career at The Hershey Company, she led Bailey Travel & Travel Time to grow annual sales by $8.7 million before transitioning to Bailey Coach. An alumna of Bloomsburg University, she has been deeply involved in community service through the Rotary Club of York, where she currently serves as President.

Kristy Fasano – Vice President & COO

Kristy brings over 15 years of operational and human resources experience to her role. A graduate of Mercersburg Academy, the Pennsylvania State University, and Wilson College, she is a strong believer in building a positive company culture. Under her leadership, Bailey’s has become a Top 100 Contributor for The United Way of York County’s Annual Fundraiser and a designated voting location for Jackson Township.

Bailey Coach now operates a fleet of 30 vehicles, transporting approximately 130,000 passengers annually and employs nearly 50 people, up from the original four, thanks to John’s leadership. John values loyalty and dedication, treating his employees like family, resulting in an average of 14 years of service among his office staff. Additionally, John is deeply involved in community service, including taking veterans to DC on Veterans Day and sanitizing first responder vehicles during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently John is semi-retired after 44 years at the helm and spends his time with his wife in Florida, playing pickleball, enjoying his 3 grandchildren, and occasionally out driving for the company.

Courtney focuses on driving business growth and innovation, while Kristy ensures that our team moves forward together, honoring the legacy of treating employees like family, offering unparalleled customer service, and serving our community with pride.
